Episode Overview

An ageing Davy Crockett visits his old friend Andrew Jackson, who's now the US president, while on his way to the Alamo. They reminisce about old times, and that flashback begins the adventure. It's all quite good fun despite the fact that, as you would expect from a Disney picture, it's a bit sanitised and the `backwoods' dialogue is sometimes hard to take.

The New Adventures of Davy Crockett is a revival in which Tim Dunigan took over Fess Parker's famous role. Johnny Cash played an older Davy in a few scenes set before he went to Texas.
